DESCRIPTION:Boy Scouts Clever Idea\nReedsburg Boy Scouts Troop 247 “Camping For Cans Box Camp”\nCamping for Cans is a yearly donation gathering event. Our local Boy Scout Troop 247 along with their leader\, Julus Paul will be braving the cold and camping out in front of our store. \nThey will be ‘begging’ for non-perishable items all day on Saturday through the night into Sunday. \nThey will sleep in cardboard boxes that they build. This is all done near the front entry of our store. \n \n \nThis is their Troop’s version of Scouting for Food and an opportunity to help stock the Reedsburg Food Pantry for the holidays and bring awareness of the homelessness in our area. \nAdd the date to your calendar and stop by with non-perishable items for donation. \nLast year they collected over 6\,000 items for the food pantry. They would like to match or beat this amount again this year! \nYour Donations x2\nViking Village Foods will match each item collected which doubles the donation size. \nThe timing for this event will help ensure that pantry is ready for the holidays. \nFood and cash donations stay right here in Reedsburg to help those in need! \nFind out more about Reedsburg Troop 247 on Facebook \n2014 event in the news!
